NSP Program
The Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) of Lee County is making home ownership possible for many people throughout the County. NSP is backed by millions in federal stimulus funds from the Federal Housing & Economic Recovery Act.
Here's how it works. Lee County purchases and rehabilitates foreclosed homes within the following target areas:
-
East Lee County
-
Lehigh Acres
-
Suncoast Estates and Palmona Park, North Fort Myers
-
San Carlos Park, South Fort Myers
-
Pine Manor and Page Park, South Fort Myers
Lee County will then sell the home to income eligible buyers for the original sales price plus rehab costs, with no mark-up for profit. The County will also offer financial aid in the form of a soft second mortgage, as well as help with reasonable closing costs.
To be income eligible, you can earn up to a middle level income. For a family of four, that translates into a maximum annual income of $72,840. Finally, an affordable housing program is available for middle income earners.
To qualify, you must go through an NSP Application process with our agency. Details and documents are provided here. Be sure to
